DeoxIT® for Glow Plugs on Diesel Engines

Which product would be appropriate for high amperage (60-100 amps) 12V connections in a high temp region of an auto engine compartment? These are not the battery connectors, they are the connectors on glow plugs of a diesel engine.

There are two options available to you. The first would be as follows:

1. Apply DeoxIT® contact cleaner, and in this case, leave the solution on overnight, if possible.
2. The following morning remove the contaminants lifted by the DeoxIT® with a lint free swab or brush.
3. Repeat process, if the surface is still oxidized.
4. Finish with a couple of short bursts of DeoxIT®.


For added protection, follow the above instructions, and as a final step apply DeoxIT® GREASE, L260Np (lithium based grease with no particles).
