DeoxIT® on Steering Wheel Slip Ring, Antenna etc.

When the steering wheel in my Acura Legend started making a noise when turned, I realized the slip ring in the hub was dirty. I sprayed some DeoxIT® D5 into it, and the problem went away.

Then I sprayed all the switches, turn signal, windshield washer stalks in the car, and the improvement was dramatic. DeoxIT® not only cleans, but lubricates, as well. All the switches operate much more smoothly and easily after the treatment.

Another item that requires maintenance is the automatic antenna. After a while it will stick, and not come completely out, or go all the way back down. After a clean and wipe with DeoxIT® D5 and a rag, the antenna works perfectly. This is a recurring maintenance item, especially in the northern climates. Considering the cost of a new antenna, this is a worthwhile procedure.
