Cleaning audio vacuum tubes - Pre-amps

What is your recommendation for cleaning audio tubes that go into the pre-amp?

Apply DeoxIT® to the pin contact surface only. Drape a clean, lint-free cloth over the surrounding surfaces.

If the surface is heavily oxidized, leave the DeoxIT® contact cleaner on overnight, if possible.

The following day, remove contaminants lifted by the DeoxIT® with a clean lint-free swab and "canned" (compressed) air, if available. Repeat process if necessary.

When no contaminants are evident on swab or cloth, apply DeoxIT® GOLD GxL, and maintain thereafter with DeoxIT® GOLD GxL.
