Over-applying 100% DeoxIT® to Volume Pot

I accidentally 'overdosed' a volume pot on an old stereo amp with 100% DeoxIT ® from a 2cc squeeze tube. After powering it back up, I no longer get normal volume. It is VERY faint in the background even when fully turned up.

I can see a residue of the red DeoxIT® swimming around within the pot. What can I do?

We recommend the following:

One:
Move the volume control knob back and forth, perhaps 50 times.
Two:
Spray 99% pure Alcohol or DeoxIT® D5 Spray into the pot to flush the surface contaminants raised by the 100% DeoxIT® liquid.
Three:
Re-apply ONE DROP of the lDeoxIT® 100% iquid.
Four:
Move the volume control knob back and forth, perhaps 10-15 times to distribute DeoxIT ® solution.
