Maintaining race car brush motor and commutator

Soak the brushes in DeoxIT® 100% liquid over night, allowing the liquid to permeate the brushes. The following morning, place the brushes in an alcohol bath to remove all the oxidation raised by the DeoxIT®. Allow the brushes to air dry for about ten to fifteen minutes.

It would be ideal to place the brushes in a DeoxIT® SHIELD bath, and once again allow the brushes to soak over night. The following morning, remove the brushes from the DeoxIT® SHIELD soaking bath, and allow them to air dry. When completely dry, replace the parts on the respective cars.

This approach would effect an enormous improvement in the motor's performance.
