Which products for arcing between brushes & armatures?

I am trying to reduce a problem most model railroad persons have to deal with, arcing between brushes and open armatures with no covering at all.

Could you suggest which of your products I can use for problems like this? I have already seen where a number of other things you have can be of benefit and I will soon try them.

If the brushes are removable, we recommend the following regimen:

1. Clean the brushes with an alcohol soak to remove the grunge that has accumulated.

2. Soak the brushes overnight in a mesh strainer set inside a tray of DeoxIT® liquid (D100L).

3. The next morning, remove the mesh strainer from the solution, and allow the brushes to air/drip dry, before re-attaching them. Gently wipe off any excess product.

As far as the armatures are concerned, treat them with the DeoxIT® D5 Spray (D5S-6).
