DeoxIT® Fader Lube is a precision lubricant specifically formulated to improve conductivity and lubricate conductive plastic and carbon compound faders, switches and other similar components. Over time these components lose their original lubrication from wear and/or repeated cleaning. Dust, dirt, drink spills and other contamination also degrade the components' lubricant. The need for re-lubrication is necessary to avoid excess wear and abrasion to the plastic surfaces.
Another use for DeoxIT® FaderLube is on conductive membrane switches and components. Oil, grease and acids build up on the membrane surfaces due to repeated finger contact and can lead to device malfunction. Applying DeoxIT® FaderLube will provide a long-lasting barrier against these types of contamination. The oil, grease and acids will be displaced above the DeoxIT® FaderLube layer preventing contact with the plastic membrane.
Uses:
Lubrication/protection of plastic-to-plastic parts (faders), plastic-to-metal parts (faders, linear sliders - dot matrix printers), metal-to-metal parts (sliding and slow rotating metal parts, locks, bearings), carbon-based controls (potentiometers) and membrane switches (mouse pointers, touch keypads).

- graphite particles = Graphite provides excellent lubricating and heat transfer characteristics. Use where lubrication is vital and heat absorption and dissipation is important.
- quartz = Use when you need particles (non conductive) to assist in oxide breakup and you require good lubrication and heat abrasion.Quartz particles assist in breaking up oxidation and corrosion. Quartz is nonconductive.
- graphite/quartz = Use when heat transfer, lubrication and assistance is needed in breaking up oxides and corrosion. Finer particles than the copper.

DeoxIT® Brand WASHES Now Available!
Contact Cleaners, Degreasers and Flux removal solvents are formulated to remove surface (*) contamination and do a great job of flushing (washing) a surface. Similar to other Washes, CAIG is introducing the Val-U and PRO Series Solvents. They are cost effective and include a unique three-way adjustable valve for precision application and to reduce waste. All are RoHS and California VOC Compliant.
Two product lines are available with three formulas. No need to choose up to ten different products to do the same job.
Val-U Series: Economical, fast drying, safe on plastics - good for general purpose use where flammability is not a concern. RoHS and California VOC Compliant.
PRO Series: Fast drying, non-drip, safe on plastics - precision use where nonflammability is required. RoHS and California VOC Compliant.
(*) General purpose Contact Cleaners, Degreasers and Flux removal solvents remove surface contamination, but prove ineffective at removing oxidation and surface sulfides the real cause of contact and connector degradation.
These tough contaminants actually attach to and become an integral part of the contact metal. This issue causes increased unnecessary service calls for covered warranty repairs that could have been prevented, translating into literally millions of dollars of lost revenue for service organizations.

Similar products on the market are more expensive, and have multiple containers requiring mixing prior to application. The CaiKoteTM 44 is applied in one step, allowed to dry and is ready for service.

USES:

Cautions/Compatibility:
There are no cautions known, but we always recommend testing in large scale use. Apply the product carefully. Do not allow it to remain on a surface NOT being treated, particularly plastic. Once it has dried, it is quite difficult to remove.

CaiKote™ EMI is a highly conductive stabilized copper/silver coating which provides shielding against radiated EMI (electromagnetic interference) and ESD (electrostatic discharge). It also acts as a highly reflective coating for EM energy due to its low absorption.
