Computer Laptop Connector Problems

My laptop's keyboard seems to play tricks on me every couple of months. In the past I have disassembled it by plugging and unplugging it several times. This was, however, only a temporary correction of the problem.

I know now that it's simply the integrity of the contacts in the main connector. What product or procedure would you recommend?

Thanks,

Peter

.....

DeoxIT® GOLD is recommended for computer applications. Since they are normally not subjected to a great deal of contaminants, it is probably not necessary to precede the DeoxIT® GOLD with DeoxIT® contact cleaner.

Please review our website for detailed information on DeoxIT® and DeoxIT® GOLD to give you a basic understanding of when these products are appropriate.

The pen version is perfectly suited for edge connectors or populated circuit boards; and the minispray (GN5MS-15) is best for external connections. When in doubt, spray onto a lint-free swab and treat the surface.
