Getting the CircuitWriter Pen to flow more easily
I used the CircuitWriter pen a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't seem to get the liquid to flow from the tip. Can you give me some recommendations? .....
The following instructions are predicated on the CircuitWriter NOT having been used for hot trace situations):
1. Clean pen tip with alcohol; 2. Tap pen tip gently on a solid surface to free accumulated dried pen solution; 3. Re-apply alcohol to pen tip; 4. Shake pen vigorously until you hear the ball moving in the pen barrel.*
*If you replace the pen cover and tap it gently on a solid surface, that frees the ball in the barrel much more quickly. Without doing so, it's possible to shake the pen for about 60 seconds before the ball moves freely.
Also
PRIOR to storing the CircuitWriter, it would be a good idea to gently remove whatever solution may have accumulated and dried on the tip with a clean, lint-free cloth or swab.
