A common problem with plated surfaces is damage caused by dendrite corrosion. Once the base metals are exposed, they begin to oxidize.

DeoxIT®GOLD bonds with the base metal, coating the entire surface and connection, and provides superior protection from abrasion (insertion resistance) dendrite corrosion, arcing, RFI, wear and contamination. The result is an improvement in conductivity.
