Best way to maintain bussbars?
I have a Hammond B3 organ with bad key contacts, and I would like to clean and lube them. Originally, Hammond put a buss bar lube on it.
The buss bars consist of a square bar with a palladium wire and the key contacts are flat springs with a palladium wire bonded on the tip.
Later revisions of the B3 organ have round buss bars, which are gold plated or palladium plated. Would you recommend CaiLube M260 for that, maybe with graphite?
The signal voltage is extremely low, around 10 to 40 mV. The buss bars have to pulled out for cleaning, you can't spray them, if they are installed, so grease is absolutely OK. Do you have any other ideas?

The individuals we work with prefer to treat plated contacts with either DeoxIT® alone or DeoxIT® used in combination with the DeoxIT® GOLD, depending on the level of contamination present.
To restore the lubrication to the bussbar, the DeoxIT® grease TYPE M260 is recommended. Please search the CAIG website for this product for more information.
Additionally, PRIOR to applying the DeoxIT® grease, the following should be observed:
If oxidized connector is metal: 1. Apply DeoxIT® to contact surface. If surface is heavily oxidized, leave solution on overnight, if possible. 2. The following morning remove contaminants lifted by DeoxIT®, as well as any excess product, with a lint-free swab or cloth. 3. Apply 1-2 short bursts of DeoxIT®.
If oxidized connector is plated metal (gold, silver, zinc, nickel): 1. Begin by applying DeoxIT® to contact surface. If the area is heavily oxidized, leave DeoxIT® on overnight, if possible. 2. The following morning, remove contaminants lifted by DeoxIT®, as well as any excess product, with a lint-free swab or cloth. 3. Apply 1-2 short bursts of DeoxIT® GOLD to surface and maintain thereafter with DeoxIT® GOLD.
If the connector is plated metal, and the surface is pristine: 1. Apply DeoxIT® GOLD to surface, and maintain thereafter with same.
Note: DeoxIT® restores optimum equipment function, but does not necessarily remove superficial "discoloration" caused by oxidation.
PLEASE NOTE: If applying 100% solution, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO WIPE OFF EXCESS WITH A CLEAN, LINT-FREE CLOTH OR SWAB.
