Rusted Fuel Injector Connector Contacts Recommendations

The fuel injector connector contacts on my car are completely rusted. They have a greenish coating all over that I haven't been able to remove. I've already tried WD-40, carburator cleaner, industrial degreaser, etc, but the green coating remains there.

I'd say the contacts are basically copper and the green stuff is copper oxide. Not sure though, and I don't want to use any acid on them. Could you recommend any of your products?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Clean the contact surface thoroughly with a stiff nylon (not metal) brush, and remove as much oxidation as possible. Then apply DeoxIT® D5 Spray (D5S-6) to the contact surface.

In this case, because the surface is heavily oxidized. Allow the DeoxIT® to sit for 24-48 hours, prior to repeating the process. Repeat the process 24-hours apart two or three times.

After each overnight treatment, clean the contact surface with a stiff nylon brush, this time, to remove any contaminants lifted by the DeoxIT®.

Finally, apply a couple of short bursts of the DeoxIT® to the contact surface, and wipe away any excess with a clean, lint-free cloth or swab.

Please note that DeoxIT® does not necessarily remove any superficial discoloration caused by the oxidation.
