Is DeoxIT® & DeoxIT® GOLD suitable for Crimped Connections

Are contact enhancers such as DeoxIT® or DeoxIT® GOLD suitable for the interface between the wire and contact in a crimped contact?

I have a center contact (pin) from a BNC connector, and the pin is gold plated. Normally, the gold plating would be in contact with the center conductor of a coaxial cable when the contact is crimped onto the wire.

Unfortunately, the wire hole is slightly undersized. I intend to enlarge the 0.026" hole to 0.031" by drilling, but that would remove the gold plating from inside the hole, and leave a raw brass surface.

The center conductor is 7 strands of 30 AWG bare copper. What are the pros and cons of applying a TINY amount of an enhancer to the outer strands of the stranded wire before inserting into the drilled hole and crimping?

I say TINY amount because I would rather not have any enhancer between the strands get squished out even though any excess will probably just wick into the cable.

Do you have any experience with such an application? I would be inclined to say "it will work fine" but, can you think of any pitfalls?

Crimp connection advocates almost always imply a cold weld as the strands of wire deform and the space between strands nearly disappear. Would enhancer interfere with the connection?
.....

We would recommend applying DeoxIT® GOLD because that may eliminate the need for enlarging the wire hole in the first place.

If the opening is just too small, the recommendation would be to apply DeoxIT® to the strands prior to insertion. Allow it to sit for about 20 minutes, then apply DeoxIT® SHIELD, and allow it to sit for about 20 minutes, prior to insertion and crimping.
