For any new or clean plated surface, DeoxIT® GOLD is the best choice, especially if the base metal is copper.

DeoxIT® GOLD has the ability to penetrate plated surfaces and molecularly bond to the base metal, which is where dendrite corrosion first begins.

If the outer surface has been in service, we consider that surface oxidized, so pretreat with DeoxIT® as a first step.

Apply DeoxIT®, and repeat until clean; then apply DeoxIT® GOLD as the final step.
