BMW Electrical System Working Like New!

Excerpt from CAIG Forum post Dec 7th, 2005:

I have to say first that I have tried every cleaner available from car parts stores to clean electrical connecters. Then I read in a BMW Forum to try DeoxIT to fix old oxidized connecters. I'll tell you what.... This stuff worked within a few seconds.

Now my startup, idle, and acceleration are just about perfect. After using it on the engine compartment I went ahead and hit all the light switches, window switches, and seat switches. DeoxIT has helped me make my 21 year old BMW work like its brand new again.... at least all the electrical contact points, that is.

Just for the heck of it I also put some on the contact points of my cordless phone charging cradle. I use to have to wiggle the phone around to find a sweet spot that would allow the contacts to touch just right for the phone to recharge.

Even trying to sand the contacts with emery paper didnt do it. So I used the DeoxIT pen and rubbed it on all the contact points, and just dropped the phone on its cradle like normal. The charging light came right on telling me it was making perfect contact without having to wiggle the phone around for a sweet spot.
