DeoxIT® on Hand Held Scanner Sparks Other Uses in Hawaii

I have a RadioShack hand held Scanner, and thought the membrane keypad needed replacing. After 2 years of service, one by one, the keys stopped working. I saw your ad in Popular Mechanics and went to my nearest RadioShack and picked up the DeoxIT® pen cleaner.

I opened up my scanner and removed the keypad and cleaned the contacts on the board. After replacing the cover, all of the keys on the keypad worked like new. The keys worked flawlessly and the amount of "dirt" it removed was amazing.

I also used the DeoxIT® pen on my radio controlled car batteries and various connectors and noticed a huge improvement. I also noted an increase in voltage, total amp output and some reduction of resistance with the connectors.

I applied DeoxIT® to outdoor lighting fixtures that had been giving us problems. The light bulb connectors were totally oxidized with a heavy green and brown coating, so I applied just one coat of DeoxIT® and wiped the bulb and connectors off. The fixtures now work like new, and the lighting was restored on every single fixture it was applied to.
