Electrical connections in boat maintenance
In the boat maintenance field, one of the biggest problems is electrical connections. In my business, soldering the connection is preferred. On any wiring on a boat that is more than a few years old, when the wire is stripped back all the strands will be black with oxidation.
It's very time-consuming to clean the wire in order to make a good solder connection. Do you have a product that could be used to clean wire prior to soldering the connection?
Thank you for your help,

DeoxIT® D5 would actually be a perfect choice, and it’s possible that if you apply the DeoxIT® followed by DeoxIT® SHIELD, soldering may not be necessary.
If soldering is necessary OR preferable, apply DeoxIT® to the surfaces, solder, re-apply DeoxIT®, wait a few minutes for the carrier solvent to dry, then follow with DeoxIT® SHIELD.
