Electronic Valve Instrument
My electronic valve instrument is played by touching metal valves, and the connection is metal to human skin. The circuit is completed when fingers touch the appropriate part, and it may be that perspiration is preventing good electrical contact.
The metal appears to be chrome-plated brass, with a little of the brass exposed (chrome is worn off). There are 3 rings and 3 studs top center; a plate under the bottom (which is not visible), and a ring on the canister, and a set of rollers (2 of 7 are visible) in the canister are touch by fingers.
Could you tell me which CAIG product is best for preserving the metal and for making a better connection?
Thanks,
P. Hart .....
Acid and oils from perspiration causes a lot of issues. The DeoxIT® AxeWipes product was formulated specifically to clean guitar strings, but it would work very well for your application, as well.
